The estate is easily accessible from downtown Washington, Bethesda and Northern Virginia. It is closer to Dulles Airport. Rockwood Manor was built in the 1920s. The Manor was the former country estate of Carolyn Gangwer Caughey (pronounced "Coy") and it is nestled in 30 acres of woods and steps away from the C&O Canal.
It has the following housing structures:
1. Carolyn house (C 1 to C5) – the main mansion that hosts meetings and social events. It has hotel style rooms.
2. Skyview lodge (SV 1 to SV5).
3. French house (FH 1 and FH2) – reservation complete.
4. The three climate-controlled cabins: Weston Hills, Tall Timbers and The Oaks. This is what we refer to as BACK-TO-THE-DORM accommodation.
